The thoughts are in between us,
Like a thousand tiny rays of natural light.
And every time I take a breath,
I tremble just because I know you’re right.

Your empathy will ground me,
Like a thousand tiny tons of nothing new.
To be friends, we are determined
But as people, we are stuck in time with glue.

And every line I cross, I cross out with a pencil
It’s tough to figure out what I am going through.

From turning upside down.
