DHFD 03:21
I thought I knew what would take place that night. But boy was I wrong, so wrong. Don’t worry about it. It’s no big deal. I’ll heal. I understated my emotions, I wasn’t fine. But now you’ll find the clouds are parting, the clouds are parting.

You’re not gonna make it easy are you, for me? As I struggle to be free, From all the moments of silence that make it harder to breathe. I made my confession such a long time ago. An eternity I know. But if there’s a light I should follow, it has been shining far from me. But it is not your fault that fate dealt me these cards. You can’t change the way that you are. The way that you are. Tomorrow’s your birthday; I don’t know how to feel. I am not sure how I’ll deal. With all the conflicting emotions, pent-up inside me. But all I ask is for you to forgive me. For the pain that I might have caused. That I might have caused you.

Nothing New 04:22
The thoughts are in between us, Like a thousand tiny rays of natural light. And every time I take a breath, I tremble just because I know you’re right. Your empathy will ground me, Like a thousand tiny tons of nothing new. To be friends, we are determined But as people, we are stuck in time with glue. And every line I cross, I cross out with a pencil It’s tough to figure out what I am going through. For no one truly knows exactly what will stop me From turning upside down. Call me hopeless, optimistic, cynical or masochistic I know when to stop and when to sigh. You leave me feeling guilty, lost, impressed and curious. I wish that I could float away, neglect to say goodbye. Now all the words are swimming Through a crowded tub of compromising means. Hardly clever or communicating Patience, just enough to drop the dream. But shortly I’ll discover What hadn’t yet occurred to me before. I am down again, I’m down again Determined not to think of what we were.

It’s simple just to sit and wait for all to fall in place. And sometimes things work out and we can celebrate. For patience is a virtue Who could deny That patience is a virtue? We’ll find what we’re led to by and by. But only fleeting moments are this black and white. The rest of them will often keep us up at night. What the big idea? To live, love and learn. What’s the big idea? To find what we yearn for here and now. And step-by-step, we all will reach the ultimate. Though no one knows just what this will entail for them. But patience is a virtue. Live, love and learn. That’s the big idea. Until all comes into focus, We can swim and we won’t drown Though we struggle not to sink when we are down. Time won’t stop so try not to lose track of it. Always look ahead but don’t forget what you are leaving behind.

Marching On 04:23
There’s always something missing That you never can describe You’ll never find the answer Though you know it’s waiting for you. She’s walking out the door again. Anticipating your next move. You fall into confusion. Still a recalcitrant, but always alone. You will not show your feelings on the surface. No matter how intense they are. And there’s a reason for this. The stigma shuts the door. But the game is far from over. Till the final out is made And we’re free of all the debts we never paid. And someday, we will be faithful To the way we feel within. Truth will always satisfy, Let us begin. You need a million compliments To function right at all. The summon enough confidence For keeping your head up high. A sign, a sign you need a sign To tame the tread of time. You will not show the world your need to survive. And ease your troubled mind. And there’s a reason for this. Hesitation sings the song. But the game is far from over. Till the final out is made. And we’re free of all the debts we never paid. And someday, we will be faithful (We can swim and we won’t drown) To the way we feel within. Truth will always satisfy, let us begin.
