lyrics

This existentialist shell hasn’t hardened enough.
I’m brewing philosophy so I’ll think that I’m tough
I’m ahead of the game, I know there’s an answer, just like you said.
Others hold the convictions that coincide with the blue and the red.

I wish I could draw a blueprint for all that I am.
Mapping out confrontations, us versus them.
But it’s not to be, not if you believe in fate, luck or reason.
Does the future depend upon what you do, or time of the season?

Chorus
Shouldn’t you be, shouldn’t you be in love?
Wouldn’t you be, wouldn’t you be above?
Hasn’t it been, hasn’t it been long enough?
But we’ve heard it all before.
And we can’t take it anymore.
At least, I know I can’t.

Oh I just want to be through all the quagmires ahead.
I’ll keep on sleeping and eat all the fish and the bread.
I will look back tomorrow night and regret some deeds that I’ve done.
If it starts feeling scripted that’s when it’s time to follow the sun.

Chorus
